Delete your account

This deletes your Pinmap account permanently, from here. It cannot be undone and there is no grace period.

What is deleted

Your profile, your pins and reviews, your photographs and videos, your trips, folders and lists, your follows and close friends, your saved items, your notifications, and your account itself. Your files are removed from storage.

What remains, and why

  • Where another member accepted a tag or saved one of your pins to their own board, that copy is theirs and it stays.
  • Places you were first to pin keep existing as places. Your name is removed from them.
  • Where content was reported, the report and a copy of the reported content are kept for three years, with your profile details removed. This is described in privacy policy section 8.5.
  • Copies may persist briefly in routine encrypted backups before being overwritten.

This mirrors privacy policy section 8.3. You can also delete your account inside the app, under Settings.

Sign in to confirm it is you

We ask you to sign in because the only account this page can delete is the one you can prove you own. Your password is sent to Pinmap's authentication provider and is never stored by this page.

Can't sign in?

If you have forgotten your password, reset it in the app first, or write to hello@pinmap.co.za from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. We answer within thirty days, and usually much sooner.
